FAQ
Whether you have artificial nails or not, there are always ways you can care for your nails by doing the following:
Wear gloves whenever cleaning, using harsh chemicals, and soaking your hands in water for long lengths of time.
Oil and moisturise your hands and nails a couple of times a day.
Using your knuckles or a tool to press buttons, switches, flushing the toilet and opening cans. Treat your nails as jewels, not as tools, especially when you have paid a lot of money for them; if not for yourself, think of the time and effort your nail tech has put into them.
Don’t pick, peel, bite or pull at your nails, polish or skin; this can cause lasting trauma and damage to your nails.
The length of your appointment will vary depending on the service you go for. Check out our services page to find out more details.
BIAB, or Builder in a Bottle, is a range of strengthening gel products similar to regular gel polishes that are applied to natural nails. However, it has a thicker consistency that can improve the strength of your nails. Adding protection allows your nails to grow more steadily and reduces the chance of them snapping or experiencing any breakage.
A tooth gem is a non-invasive and semi-permanent procedure that involves placing jewellery on a tooth or teeth.
We will gem anyone over the age of 15. Under 16s, we need parent’s consent.
Unfortunately, we can’t work on anyone who:
- Is pregnant
- Undergoing current dental work or treatments
- Has veneers or false teeth (natural teeth only)
- Is feeling unwell with sickness/colds & flu symptoms
We clean the tooth before adding a layer of protection between the tooth and the gem/gold piece, ensuring all the goodness stays in and any nasties stay out. We use the same boding product as is used for braces.
This is a completely safe and painless process. No drilling or enamel is removed throughout our treatment.
This is completely removable with a trip to your dental hygienist or dentist for a safe and painless removal during a scale and polish treatment. We do not remove gems as we ain’t dentists.
You will feel the gem on your tooth initially; however, after a few days, you will get used to the feeling.

LOST PARCELS
If you consider your item to be ‘lost’ please contact me within in 30 days. Orders deemed as lost after this time will not be replaced. Royal Mail require a period of time to pass before a parcel may be considered as ‘lost’ and I ask for your understanding in this matter. If your item has still not arrived after this time your order will be replaced. No refunds will be given for lost parcels. This is to protect the integrity of the returns policy and myself as a business, from fraudulent claims.
DELAYED DELIVERIES
Delivery delays as a result of third party services are beyond my control and I ask for your acknowledgement of this point. If your item is delayed and does not arrive in time for your required date you will be entitled to full refund, including initial postage costs. Refunds will be issued once the order has been returned in its original packaging and in an unused condition. To accelerate this process you are asked to refuse delivery of the order when it arrives – this will prevent you from paying return postage fees.
INCORRECT ADDRESS
No refunds or replacements will be issued for orders on which an incorrect delivery address is provided. If you have entered the incorrect address, then contact me as soon as possible, and if the item has not yet been posted, I will amend the address.
RETURNS
Cute but Deadly items are subject to a strict quality control process however in the unlikely event you should receive a faulty item it will be replaced at our cost. Please take into account that each item is hand printed so there may be slight differences to your design and the photographs used in selling materials, we do not consider this a fault. Contact us within 14 days to arrange a return and exchange/refund.
A 50% booking fee for new clients is required when making a booking unless discussed otherwise; we will contact you with how to pay. This is redeemable against the final cost of your appointment.
If you cancel within 48 hours of the agreed appointment time, we reserve the right to keep the 50% deposit. If you cancel within 24 hours before the agreed appointment time, don’t show up or show up more than 20 minutes late, we reserve the right to request 100% of the total appointment cost. This cannot be put towards another appointment.
Although regular clients don’t pay a booking fee, you must pay cancellation/late fees (same as booking fees for new clients).
Unfortunately, we are not a child-friendly zone as we have Sharpe objects, lots of chemicals and potty mouths.
Since we are now at full capacity, we don’t have the extra space we used to. We ask that everyone arrive at their appointment alone. Please, no children or entourage in tow! And although we love our furry friends, we don’t allow them in the salon as it’s unfair to our patrons who may have allergies.
